What we don't collect
The QR codes and barcodes you generate on this site are produced by JavaScript running in your browser. The text you enter — URLs, WiFi passwords, contact details, anything else — is never transmitted to our servers. We have no copy of it. If you close the tab before downloading, nothing remains.
We do not require accounts, do not store user profiles, and do not have a database of generated codes.
What we do collect
We use two analytics tools to understand how the site is used.
- Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly tool that records aggregate page views, browser, country, and referrer. It does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. See Plausible's data policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures pageviews and basic interactions (which QR types and barcode formats are generated). It uses cookies, may receive your IP address, and is operated by Google subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out by installing Google's browser opt-out add-on or by blocking the script with a content blocker.
Cookies
We use one set of cookies: Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. See our cookies page for details.
Hosting and logs
The site is served from our own server. Standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) are written to disk for operational reasons (debugging, abuse mitigation) and rotated after 30 days. They are not joined with any other data.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because we do not store personally identifiable information beyond analytics, there is little for you to request. If you believe we hold data about you and want it deleted, contact us at the address below and we will confirm and act within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We will update the "Last updated" date at the top whenever this policy changes. Material changes — for example, adding a new third-party service — will be called out in a banner on the homepage for at least 14 days.
